3 Gallon Dipladenia Mandevilla Tropical Plant Vine Bush Red Blooms
USD 42.00
The dipladenia (sometimes called a mandevilla) is hardy in USDA Zones 10 to 11. It can grow between 4 and 8 feet tall and 4 to 6 feet wide. The dipladenia is more bushy than the mandevilla which tends to vine. They are grown for their beautiful trumpet shaped flowers. They can be grown in full sun to partial shade. Indoors, they need to be kept near a window or door that would provide lots of sunlight. This plant is in a 3 gallon pot and measures 13 inches tall and 15 inches wide. (These plants are measured from the top of the root ball to the top of the plant!) The plants are left in the pots until agreement and payment to purchase has been received. Then they are pulled from the pot, wrapped in plastic with some of the dirt mixture to keep it somewhat moist and packaged to ship. They will ship USPS Priority mail that day. I do only ship live plants on Monday and Tuesday and occasionally on Wednesday so they arrive to you before the weekend! Please be sure that after you receive the tracking information that you have someone to receive the package so it does not sit in the hot sun and bake in the box all day! We are licensed in the state of Georgia as a nursery and are inspected as such. Some of the plants you receive may still have some white residue on them from the last spray to control the fungus, pests, and to fertilize the plants. This residue is normal and will wear off in time. We guarantee that our plants will arrive alive to your destination if removed immediately upon arrival. We're sorry, but we do not ship these plants to California, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico due to restrictions by their Departments of Agriculture. Due to numerous postal problems, we now require all of our plants to ship with insurance so that price is also included!

Royal Poinciana Flame Tree 15 Seeds - Delonix -Tropical
USD 2.75
Delonix regia Family: Fabaceae/Leguminosae (bean family) Common Names: royal poinciana, flamboyant tree, flame tree, peacock flower. DescriptionRoyal poinciana (so named because it used to be in the genus, Poinciana) is a flamboyant tree in flower - some say the world's most colorful tree. For several weeks in spring and summer it is covered with exuberant clusters of flame-red flowers, 4-5" across. Even up close the individual flowers are striking: they have four spoon shaped spreading scarlet or orange-red petals about 3" long, and one upright slightly larger petal (the standard) which is marked with yellow and white. Royal poinciana gets 30-40' tall, but its elegant wide-spreading umbrella-like canopy can be wider than its height. Royal poinciana is deciduous in climates that have a marked dry season, but in Florida and other areas where the winter is not that much dryer than the summer, it is a semi-evergreen tree. Even the leaves are elegant: they are lacy and fernlike, twice-pinnate, and 12-20" long with 20-40 pairs of primary leaflets (pinnae), each divided into 10-20 pairs of secondary leaflets (pinules). The dark brown pods are flat and woody, up to 24" long and 2" wide. A naturally occurring variety (var. flavida) has golden-yellow flowers. LocationRoyal poinciana is native to Madagascar. It is widely cultivated and may be seen adorning avenues, parks and estates in tropical cities throughout the world. Hardiness: USDA Zones 10 - 12. Royal poinciana should not be exposed to temperatures below about 45 F.Propagation: Propagate royal poinciana from semi-ripe tip cuttings taken in summer. Best results come with bottom heat. UsageRoyal poinciana is a spectacular shade tree in tropical climates. As a free standing specimen tree, it has no peers. Picture this beauty framed by a cluster of coconut palms!

Tropical Oak 20 Seeds - Casuarina - Great Bonsai!
USD 3.99
Superficially resembling pines because of their needles, the Casuarinas also bear small cones and form beds of dry needles resembling the mat under a pine tree. Their dark-red tough wood is responsible for the occasional name beefwood, while the wide medullary rays suggested the name oak. Though the timber was shipped to Britain, it was not equal to oak imported from Britain. The wood was used in the past for making boomerangs and clubs. Small red flowers on female trees make it clear that something unusual is going on and examination of the needles with a lens reveals tiny leaves in the form of teeth surrounding the needles at junctions that are clearly visible to the naked eye. River she-oak has nine leaf teeth, plus or minus two, the needles are 1/50 inch in diameter with 1/4-inch segments, the cones are about 1/4 inch in diameter but may be larger, and the outside surface of the valves is smooth.
