I am looking for a nice Caribbean resort where my boyfriend and I can go on vacation. We have already been to Bermuda, Caymans, and Jamaica so we would don't want to go there again. I want a place that has a lot to offer for young active couples, (and also has a lot of young active couples, not filled with older couples or a lot of kids). I also want a place where we can go to see waterfalls. But my biggest thing is I want the picturesque white sand beach with Palm Trees, and lounge chairs/beach beds to lay on underneath. I have used numerous search engines but I would prefer to talk to someone who has stayed at one of these resorts. I also want a place with bars at the hotel. Thanks!!
My husband and I went to two places that might fit the bill, although no waterfalls.
The only waterfalls that I know are Dunns River Falls in Jamaica and the waterfalls on St. Lucia. I haven't been to either place, but I always wanted to stay at this open air hotel in the rainforest. http://www.ladera.com/
We went to Aruba and stayed at the Radisson. The hotel was nice -- we picked it for the pool and beach, which were both fantastic. Great sunset strolling. It wasn't overrun with children, although there were some there, but there were tons of iguanas. The hotel had a few restaurants and you could walk along the beach to any number of other hotels. Outside the hotel was a strip with a bunch of restaurants. The food was great, although a bit pricey. http://www.radisson.com/aruba
We also visited the Sol Melia in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. It's an all inclusive with food, drinks, and most watersports included. We tried the banana boat and horseback riding. The restaurants on the complex were good. Again, some children but not too many. And there was a nice candle-lit restaurant for dinner if you could get a reservation. http://www.solmelia.com/solNew/hoteles/jsp/C_Hotel_Description.jsp?codigoHotel=5889
Happy travels!

Texas Everbearing Fig Fruit Tree NO SHIPPING TO CA, AZ, AK, HI, OR or WA PER YOUR STATE LAWS USD 26.99
Own your own fabulous fig tree. This is a picturesque tropical looking tree with a dramatic spreading habit growing to a height of 12-15 feet and is everbearing. If you love figs, this one's for you! The Texas Everbearing fig tree is hardy in zones 7-10 but with winter protection it can be grown as far north as zone 5. When fully dormant, fig trees can tolerate temperatures as low as 10 to 15ºF. Even if frozen, figs often will resprout from the roots and produce a crop the following summer. Figs usually begin bearing fruit within two years. If you live in the zones above, you can plant this in the ground upon arrival. If you live in colder zones, you can pot these figs and winter them in your garage, basement or other areas that do not go below zero degrees F. Figs grow nicely and will bear fruit when grown in containers where they can be artfully pruned to create a living sculpture to decorate your deck or patio. This is convenient for two reasons: cold climate growers can move their figs indoors in winter and the plants can be removed from the patio when the fruit begins to (over)ripen.
