What causes wormlike marks on my seedlings' leaves?
I have two trays of seedlings: watermelon, black beans, lettuce, eggplants, tomatoes, etc.
I noticed that on my black bean first pairs of leaves there are some marks shaped like worms, where the leaf is almost transparent. Now they've spread to all the other seedlings. I wonder if it's a bug, a larva, a virus or a fungus, and if there is a natural way to get rid of it. Thanks.
I agree with Don, it sounds like leaf miners. Sometimes you can see the little jerks in the leaves, if you're not sure. I've read that you can remove the affected leaves, but if they're seedlings, that would probably kill them.
If the damage is not extensive, you might just want to isolate the affected plants and see what happens.
