TEXAS BLUEBONNET Lupinus Texensis BULK 1500 seeds
USD 25.00
A hardy winter annual native to Texas, 12-24" high. Adopted as the "State Flower of Texas", this is the most commonly seen variety along roadsides and in uncultivated pastures throughout the state. Flowers are densely arranged on a spike with a characteristic ice white terminal tip. Bluebonnets cannot tolerate poorly drained, clay based soils. Seed planted in poorly drained soils will germinate, but plants will never fully develop. Seedlings will become either stunted or turn yellow and soon die. Prefers a sloped area in light to gravelly, well-drained soil. Requires full sun.

Texas Bluebonnet Seeds
USD 1.50
The best is to plant them in late winter just after the ground has thawed since the cold helps them sprout. If planted in the fall some seeds will sprout in the fall while most will come up in the spring. To get them going in late spring or summer soak them in water overnight, this will make the seeds swell up and start the growth of the seed. Transplanting is said to be difficult but the sources say that small plants can be easily moved if you keep a lot of soil around the roots. This has not worked well for me, and I use egg boxes to start the seeds, one in each hole, cut the box in 12 pieces once the seedlings show up and plant the whole little pot into the ground. The egg boxes will rot over time and keep cutworms away from the young roots.

Texas Bluebonnet Seeds
USD 1.44
The Texas Bluebonnet, 'Lupinus texensis', is the state wildflower of Texas and it displays impressive spikes of blue flowers in the spring. Texas Bluebonnets are a great annual for naturalized wildflower areas. It also can be seen along roadsides and in fields in the southern USA. The Texas Bluebonnet has multiple 1/2 inch blue flowers on spokes and a white terminal tip. The blooms last for about 4 weeks in the spring. The Texas Bluebonnet can be planted anywhere, but it does best in climates where it can be planted in the fall and overwinter to produce spring flowers and planted in well drained soils that are sandy or loamy. In cold climates plant in early spring, as soon as the soil can be worked. Texas Bluebonnets are used for cut flowers and for planting in mass in wildflower areas.

1 Oz Texas Bluebonnet (Lupinus texensis) Bulk Wildflower Seeds
USD 6.24
A world-famous favorite, this native Texan lupine creates one of the globe's top natural wildflower displays. Along with other bluebonnet species, it is the Texas state flower, this particular variety being by far the most-loved. Occasionally, all shades of pink are seen, but the most well-known and common color is the deep and rich royal blue. While the meadows of striking cobalt blooms seem to grow effortlessly in Texas, this plant tends to be quite finicky outside of it's native home.
