African Iris Yellow Bloom Live Plant Ground Cover 18" Tall 1 Gallon
USD 22.00
These 1 gallon African iris plants are known for their small low growing ground cover and lovely blooms. These will have the yellow bloom. Hardy in USDA Zones 8- 11. (Can be brought through the winter in Zone 8 if it is well protected, kept dry, and mulched.) These plants only reach a height of up to 4 feet (the leaves only reach up to 2 feet, but the flower stalk may rise up another 2 feet above the leaves) and up to 3 feet wide. Will grow in full sun to partial shade, but do their best in dappled shade under trees. These generally bloom during spring and summer. The measurements on the plants will be about 18 inches tall and 7 inches wide. (These plants are measured from the top of the root ball to the top of the plant!) The plants are left in the pots until agreement and payment to purchase has been received. Then they are pulled from the pot, wrapped in plastic with some of the dirt mixture to keep it somewhat moist and packaged to ship. They will ship USPS Priority mail that day. I do only ship live plants on Monday and Tuesday and occasionally on Wednesday so they arrive to you before the weekend! Please be sure that after you receive the tracking information that you have someone to receive the package so it does not sit in the hot sun and bake in the box all day! We are licensed in the state of Georgia as a nursery and are inspected as such. Some of the plants you receive may still have some white residue on them from the last spray to control the fungus, pests, and to fertilize the plants. This residue is normal and will wear off in time. We guarantee that our plants will arrive alive to your destination if removed immediately upon arrival. We're sorry, but we do not ship these plants to California, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico due to restrictions by their Departments of Agriculture. Due to numerous postal problems, we now require all of our plants to ship with insurance so that price is also included!

African Blue Basil - 4" Pot - Perennial - Best Indoor Basil
USD 4.99
African Blue Basil is a large shrubby form of basil that grows like a weed. The scent and flavor are more clove scented than Sweet Basil but it can be used for cooking. This plant grows to 4' around and can grow in shady areas or in full sun for best flowering. It is very drought tolerant and the beautiful lavender pink flowers attract all kinds of bees to your garden. This basil is perennial but still sensitive to very cold weather. Easy to grow and never needs flowers pinched off because African Blue basil will not go to seed and die. This is a great landscape plant and indispensable in your herb garden for its color and fragrance. To grow African Blue Basil, you must take cuttings from an existing plant, there are no seeds for this plant. It must get at least 2-3 hours of sunlight a day. It can be grown with filtered light such as under a tree or in a bright window indoors. If you forget to water it for about a month, and it wilts drastically, water it and it will look as good as new. Prune occasionally for a more bushy form by cutting off the top about a third. Cut some African Blue basil for herb bouquets and for garnish at the table.
