Bloom Time: March-April Bloom Color: White Flower/Fruit: White flowers, 1 to 1.5 inches across with five petals followed by edible fruit. Sun: Full Sun Fall Color: Yellow, Orange, Red Drought Tolerance: Moderate Water: Moderate Maintenance: Medium-High Site Requirements /Soil Tolerances: Pears tolerate heavy, poorly drained soils better than most tree fruits. However, productivity is best on deep, well-drained loams with pH 6-7. Pears have very similar climatic requirements to apples, but are much more prone to fire blight and therefore cannot tolerate humid, wet springs. Pears require 900-1000 chill hours to break dormancy, although many Asian pears have lower chill requirements and can be grown as far south as northern Florida. Pears have similar or slightly lower cold hardiness than apples, tolerating -10 to -20 F. Pears bloom 1-3 weeks before apple, and are therefore prone to frost damage in most regions. Pears mature in as little as 90 days or as long as 200 days. Culture: Pears should not be over fertilized as this can lead to fire blight, a severe bacterial disease. Pyrus communis is self-pollinating. Uses: Group or specimen. Small shade tree. May be used as a street tree. A very good choice for colder climates and very ornamental. May be espaliered or Bonsai. TreeHelp Annual Care Kit for Pear
USD 27.95

A complete care package to maintain healthy and beautiful pear trees. This kit is designed to treat one large tree or 2-3 smaller or newly planted trees. The kit can be applied at any time during the growing season, though late fall and winter applications should be avoided. The kit Includes four separate components: TreeHelp Mycorrhizal Treatment for Pear Trees, TreeHelp Premium Fertilizer for Pear, and TreeHelp Biostimulant. The mycorrhizal treatment contains a specially designed and concentrated formulation of living mycorrhizal fungi. When applied to the soil, these beneficial fungi quickly colonize the root system to create excellent conditions for root growth. The fertilizer contains an optimal mix of macro- and micronutrients that promote root development and disease resistance. The Nitrogen is in a slow-release form which is important because too much quick-release Nitrogen can stimulate weak new growth and elongate cell walls. High amounts of Phosphorus and Potassium as well as important micronutrients like Iron and Magnesium help your pear tree produce more abundant and larger flowers and fruit. The biostimulant is a dry, water-soluble root growth stimulant containing beneficial components to give your plants a health boost. It provides benefits to all types of trees, shrubs, and other garden plants. The unique composition of ingredients includes beneficial bacteria as well as humic acid extracts, pathogen-fighting fungi, soluble sea kelp, yucca plant extracts, amino acids and vitamins. The beneficial bacteria fix nitrogen, solubilize phosphorus and promote growth.

2-3 Year Old Amber Sweet Orange Tree in Grower's Pot, 3 Year Warranty,
USD 39.99

The Amber Sweet Orange tree is a hybrid of the Clementine and Orlando Tangelo. Most Ambersweet fruit are medium-sized with a diameter of 2½ up to 3¾ inches. The color of both the peel and flesh is quite good for an early orange and makes the fruit quite appealing. The shape of the fruit is somewhat unique, being tapered at the stem end with a slightly pear-like overall shape. The peel is thick and tends to be rather pebbly in texture. Ease of peeling is good for eating out of hand. About Fruit Production: Due to the blossoming cycles of Citrus & Fruit Trees we cannot guarantee that any of our trees will arrive with developed fruit on them. Since our trees are grown from grafts of mature trees, they do produce fruit years sooner than a seeded tree would. Usually our trees will begin to blossom and produce fruit around two to three years old. The older a tree is, the more likely it is to produce fruit. Fruit production is seriously effected by the care that the tree receives and also the climate that the tree resides in. With proper care, any of our trees will thrive and produce fruit for many years. That's why we back our trees with a 3 year warranty!
