When should i start sowing seeds indoors?
I live in mid-Michigan and i wanted to know when i should start my seeds indoors. i want to plant corn, peas, onion, tomato's and peppers.
I'm in Southeast Michigan and I've got the gardening itch too. A good timeframe to start seeds indoors is about 4-8 weeks before you'll be able to transplant them in the garden. Of course, you'll be transplanting your seedlings into the garden after the danger of frost has passed. Usually the end of April is safe for us southern Michiganders, so factor in you are a little north of me. Also, consider how big you want your plants when you put them out. Backtrack 8 weeks from the end of April and that would mean planting time is now, woohoo!
