Yellow Foxglove

Like its cousins, it boasts plenty of colorful blooms up and down strong spikes in summer; unlike its cousins, however, it will return for many years to come to grace the sunny garden (in Northern climates) or brighten partly-shaded locations (in the South). In early- to midsummer, very abundant buds open on the upper three-fourths of these 2- to 3-foot spikes, opening to lovely moonlight-yellow blooms, the inside cheerfully spotted with persimmon-red. Because the lower buds open earlier than the uppermost, each stalk remains colorful for several weeks!Easy to grow in rich, moist soil, Digitalis is not too fussy about conditions.
