This plant has an umbrella type head of pendulous, bluish green foliage. Soft needled, foliage is brighter on immature growth in spring, then darkens over summer to a lush blue green color, then eventually changes to a bronze yellow hue in autumn prior to completely falling off for winter dormancy. Its branches are grafted about 3 feet above the ground, but over time, these branches will weep to the ground. Ornamental brown cones appear in late summer. Grows with a moderate growth rate to a variable, mature height of about 6 feet with narrow, 2 foot spread when young, maturing to anywhere from 2 to 5 ft. wide.
