Peregion Bush Bean - 25 Seeds - Heirloom - Semi Climber
USD 2.99
Beans have been a staple food in cuisine throughout the world for thousands of years. Archaeologists have discovered beans in ancient Egyptian tombs and in ruins of Native American habitats in the Southwestern United States. Well-known as a powerhouse of nutrition, beans can also be a foundation for imaginative dishes. Abundant with soluble fiber, they combine well with grains. They are virtually fat-free, have no cholesterol and are a good source of vitamins. The mild flavor makes them perfect partners with sandwiches and main dishes. A semi-climber; will climb a 4 foot stake. Violet flowers, 5 inch, flat, green snap beans. A rare heirloom variety from eastern Oregon. This group of beans is a favorite for the home garden and can be grown just about anywhere because they have a relatively short growing season. They can be planted from seed as soon as the soil is warm (day temperatures are around 60 degrees Farenheit), in full sun and loose, well drained soil. Bush type beans are very easy to grow and manage, reaching a height of only 2 feet tall.

Rainbow Seeds® 25+ Certified Organic "Black Jet" Heirloom Soybean Seeds Soy Bean~Black Edimame!
USD 2.49
Heirloom Soybean Seeds Certified Organic Seed "Black Jet" Glycine max This listing is for a package of 25+ Certified Organic Heirloom Black Jet Soybean Seeds for your garden . Black soybeans have the best flavor of any other soybeans by far, but it is hard to find them except through a few seed companies. The prolific 24" plants produce great yields of flavorful black soybeans. This is an easy to grow soybean variety. The plants are relatively early maturing and do very well in Northern climates. They are erect plants that reach about two feet in height and set prolific amounts of seed pods. The jet black beans have thin, black skins and a wonderful flavor. The pods are borne in clusters of two to three seeds per pods. Their great flavor makes them good in soups, chilies or anywhere else you might use regular dry beans. CULTURE: After your regular last frost date plant about 4-8 seeds/ft. 1" deep in rows 15-30 inches apart. These upright plants are much easier to cultivate. For nitrogen-fixing inoculants, use those formulated for soybean crops. FRESH SOYBEAN HARVEST AND COOKING: Most of the pods of this variety ripen at the same time. Clip your plants near the base when the beans are plump in the pods. Beans are at their highest fresh weight just as the pods begin to lose their bright green color. Hand-strip the remaining leaves and tie small bunches of plants for retailing. DRY SOYBEAN HARVEST: When at least 90% of the leaves have fallen off of your plant and the pods are dry, pull the plants out by the roots. Complete drying under cover if weather is wet. STORAGE: Make sure beans are dry (max. 9% moisture) and then store in a cool place. Freeze dry beans to control storage insect pests.

David's Heirloom Green Pole Bean Kentucky Wonder 50 Seeds per Packet
USD 6.55
This classic pole bean produces a huge harvest of straight, stringless beans all summer long. An old fashioned favorite, "Kentucky Wonder" is what some experts say is the American name for the classic "runner bean." That tells you it'll be a strong pole or fence-growing vine with great green pods to harvest right into fall. Pole beans yield much longer than bush beans, right up to frost. Straight, 6" stringless pods stay sweet and tender-crisp even at full maturity. Wonderful fresh or frozen. White seeded. Generally, hot climates, like South Texas, are not good for pole beans.
