Fern Cyathea
how do i grow cyathea brownlii fern (Norfolk fern) from a cutting?

I've tried googling this but from what I've read you cant. But I saw at a nursery they had a Cyathea Brownlii fern that looked like a furry stump and considering the guy from the nursery was showing me which of my plants could be grown from cuttings, I asked if they were doing the same with that. He laughed and said this is too easy, you just cut it off and put it in soil and duplicating is that easy. I keep trying, with the pieces as they start to uncurl or with a full leaf and they just die. I have a root stimulation powder that's helped doing roses but still no luck, what do I do?

It is not that easy. I don't know what he was telling you. You cannot use fresh fronds for cuttings because they will just shrivel up. It would be best if you asked this question at the American Fern Society forums and you will get lots of advise there.
