Hollyhock - Carnival Mix - 2000 Seeds
USD 8.99 Alcea rosea is commonly known as Hollyhock. These annuals are tall and showy offering a profusion of color! This Summer Carnival mix has 4 inch double or semi-double blooms in shades of pink, rose, red and yellow. It makes a perfect display for the back of the border and hummingbirds and butterflies will not be able to leave it alone. This mix blooms all summer and will reseed for next year's display. Start the seeds indoors 6 - 8 weeks before the last expected frost. Press the seeds into the soil but do not cover them. Keep them moist until germination. With temperatures of 60 - 65F, germination is normally within 28 days. Transplant outdoors after frost danger has passed. Space the plants 24 inches apart. For areas with a longer growing season, directly sow outdoors in a prepared seedbed. Grow in full sun and in well-drained soil. Hollyhock - Rosea - 4000 Seeds
USD 8.99 Malva moschata is commonly known as Musk Mallow, and it is a close relative to the hollyhock. Musk Mallow is a short-lived perennial that produces a bushy plant with deeply cut leaves. This Rosea variety has lovely pink, 2 inch blooms that have a nice musky scent. It is short-lived but will often reseed itself keeping a Musk Mallow in the flower border for many years. Hummingbirds and butterflies are very attracted to Musk Mallow. After flowering, cut it back for wintering over. Start the seeds indoors 6 - 8 weeks before the last expected frost.
