Creeping Zinnia - 4000 Seeds
USD 8.99
Sanvitalia procumbens, or Creeping Zinnia, is a lovely, bright low-growing annual ground cover that blooms all summer long. It has charming ¾ inch blooms that look like little sun flowers! It is also ideal for hanging baskets and containers where it can spill over the edges. Creeping Zinnia seeds can be started directly outdoors 1 - 2 weeks before the last frost date. The flowers do not transplant well, so start the seed directly in containers or in the garden. Prepare a seedbed by loosening the top 2 inches of soil and weeding. Do not cover the seeds but gently press them into the soil. Keep seed moist until germination. With a temperature of 70F, germination is usually within 21 days. Space the plants 15 - 18 inches apart. Grow this annual in full sun and in well-draining soil. Creeping Zinnia is usually resistant to deer.
