Can i live in a converted shippig container on land i own without planning permission?
I'm in the UK
Dunno bout UK... Some states actually do not have any laws regarding that, and those that do. . . well you would have to comply with the laws for a "mobile home". Also you have have trouble getting electricity installed to it. May require you to install a pole similar to those at camp grounds..... Where I live (Alabama) You only have to have it 2' off the ground. (concrete blocks) you Must Have it restrained with tie downs, (not difficult) and Have more than 1 entrance way (back door) - That is if your electricity is on a camping pole. (easiest way) Dunno bout plumbing specs, I don't see a problem though. But hey, if you have alot of land with trees, and if you don't tell anyone and don't attempt to get a registered address. . . . who'll ever know you're there?

Papaya Tree Live Outdoors/Container growing
USD 9.99 Papaya Tree Live Hawaiian Type Should you live in a sub-tropical climate or a zone where your temperature stays above 32?F then you want to consider planting a papaya tree. This fruit is rich in minerals and vitamins A,C and E plus the fruit breaks down carbohydrates and wheat gluten. For those with Celiac disease this is a great fruit to eat. Papayas make excellent container plants if you have the room for them. They are great additions for greenhouses or heated conservatories. This fruit tree is really a fast growing, large herb. It can be short lived if hit by the briefest blast of cold weather. It grows straight and will only branch out when injured. If you plant them remember they like to be warm not only in sunshine but also in reflected heat and putting them against the house will make them happy. Make sure they are out of the wind. Plant them in mounds or against the foundation of a building where you can control the water. They only like well-drained light soil. Too much water will kill them. The soil needs some moisture during hot weather and its needs to be dry in cold weather. You do not need to prune papaya, but some growers will pinch them back to ensure multiple trunks. You can harvest your Papaya when most of the skin is yellow-green. Allow them to ripen at room temperature for several days until they are almost fully yellow and will seem slightly soft to the touch. Now you can store them at 45? F for up to three weeks.You can slice and eat them as fruit or cook to make chutney or serve in salads or with all other kinds of food. Since every part of the Papaya tree and fruit contains latex, do not eat any green papaya raw. In some areas green papayas are boiled and eaten as a vegetable. USD 42.00 These plants are known for their bloom- it changes colors each day- from bluish purple to lavender to white! Most of these plants are hardy in USDA Zones 9- 11. They can be grown in any zone in a container and brought indoors or in a green house to go through the winter. These plants can reach a height of 4 to 6 feet tall and 3 to 6 feet wide. They will grow in full sun to partial shade. These plants will bloom most of the year- from spring until fall (if they died back to the roots during the winter, they will spend most of spring growing and then bloom in summer). Most of these plants are 16 inches tall and 16 inches wide. (Please note the measurements are from the top of the root ball to the top of the leaves). The plants are left in the pots until agreement and payment to purchase has been received. Then they are pulled from the pot, wrapped in plastic with some of the dirt to keep it somewhat moist and packaged to ship. They will ship USPS Priority mail that day. We do only ship live plants on Monday and Tuesday and occasionally on Wednesday if we think you are close enough for them to arrive to you before the weekend! Please be sure that after you receive the tracking information that you have someone to receive the package so it does not sit in the hot sun and bake in the box all day! We are licensed in the state of Georgia as a nursery and are inspected as such. Some of the plants you receive may still have some white residue on them from the last spray to control the fungus, pests, and fertilize the plants. This residue is normal and will wear off in time. We guarantee that our plants will arrive alive to your destination if removed immediately upon arrival. We're sorry, but we do not ship these plants to California, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico due to restrictions by their Departments of Agriculture.
