USD 4.99

Echinacea pallida, or commonly called Pale Purple Coneflower, is a hardy perennial. It can be found growing wild in many parts of the United States. It is a great flower for naturalizing a landscape setting, and it looks lovely when planted in mass, making a meadow come alive with color. Pale Purple Coneflower has drooping daisy-like petals that surround a central reddish-brown cone. It is nectar-rich and attracts bees and butterflies. This plant is considered to be a medicinal herb. It is long-lived and usually resistant to deer. In the spring, start the seed directly outdoors after danger of frost has passed. Prepare a seed bed, loosening soil and weeding. Press the seed into soil, cover it 1/8 to 1/4 inch with soil and keep the seed moist. With a temperature of 70F, germination is usually in 28 days. Grow Coneflower in full sun.
