Bean Vine

Bean Vine
I picked beans from the trees and I have some idea of Ford - but That's what?

It was a long time about the foot, plantar 30. It was hard, almost woodlike, I shook it, shook. I cracked a half out of the seeds was equally hard. Seeds Was about an inch long and relatively thin. At first, we probably I think vanilla beans, but I knew it too short Width, and do not smell anything. Ford, like the Apple Tree Someone hung a clustering is not nearly the vine. Yes I was close to the three kinds of ideas, but they It was not very much. Ford had a lot of beans and a thick skin Contains dozens of seeds stacked like a ladder. Probably I live in Florida, we noted in about 15 minutes away, In rural areas should have the sea.

10 Seeds Hyacinth bean vine (Dolichos lablab)
USD 1.62

Lablab bean is a twining vine with leaflets in threes and showy bright purple flowers and pods. In frostfree areas the vine becomes woody and can reach more than 30 ft (9 m) in length. In zones 9 and colder, the vine remains herbaceous and rarely exceeds 10 ft (3 m). The leaflets are purplish green, broad oval or triangular in shape and 3-6 in (7.6-15.2 cm) long. The flowers are pealike, a rich, brilliant purple and arranged in loose clusters on long stems that extend above the foliage. The pods are just as showy as the flowers. They are flat and curved, about 3 in (7.6 cm) long and bright purple. The beans inside are dark colored with a conspicuous white hilum, the elongate scar on the edge of the bean where it was attached to the inside of the pod.If you're looking for a vine to cover a fence for privacy, THIS IS IT! These are fast growing, easy to maintain and attractive all summer into fall. Grow these on your fence, arbor or even as a ground cover - a perfect heirloom vine for your cottage garden! Oh, and don't forget the butterflies, bees, hummingbird moths and hummingbirds that frequent the flowers - they'll love them, too!

The green leaves contrast strikingly with their purplish stems and veins, and the flat, thick, curved pods are a dramatic red color. Young beans can be sliced or used whole, boiled or stir-fried. Warning: Hyacinth beans naturally have cyanogenic glucoside (a plant compound that contains sugar and produces cyanide). Hyacinth beans should never be eaten raw. "Ruby Moon" Hyacinth Bean Seeds
USD 2.93

Annual. Blooms in summer. 6' to 20' vine. Full sun. Purple stems with dark green leaves and purple flower clusters, followed by eye-catching velvety purple bean pods. Makes an attractive fast growing screen. This exotic tropical looking vine can be grown up arbors, trellises, fences, in hanging baskets, or as a groundcover. It is used as an important forage crop in the tropics. The immature bean pods are edible, but probably not as good tasting as many other garden beans. The purple color will turn green when cooked. Mature bean seeds may be eaten, but they must be boiled and drained at least twice to discard the toxic cyanogenic glucosides. We do not recommend eating them. The common name is misleading, as Hyacinth Beans are not true beans. But, like beans, they are a member of the pea family. The Hyacinth Bean Vine requires well-drained soil to thrive and is much more drought tolerant than other bean varieties.
